About West Toronto Real Estate

Life in the West End of Toronto is centred around community, entertainment, and the outdoors. The area is home to some of the city’s most popular neighbourhoods:

  • Liberty Village
  • King West
  • West Queen West

It’s also anchored by Toronto’s largest park, High Park. Christie Pits Park and Trinity Bellwoods Park are also West End favourites. Little Portugal, Little Tibet, and Roncesvalles’ distinct eastern European influence provide a welcome multicultural atmosphere.

Toronto’s Eclectic Community

King West serves as Toronto’s premier destination for enjoying nightlife, as the streets are lined with popular night clubs, trendy restaurants, and venues for live music. Rooftop patios, pubs, and bars are plentiful here, and there are endless opportunities to experience all that Toronto has to offer for a night out. Liberty Village is also a favourite among the city’s young professional crowd, as craft breweries, brunch spots, curated events, and an electric energy characterize the neighbourhood.

West Queen West is known for its excellent shopping experiences. Countless original stores and independent shops can be found here, selling everything from stylish clothes to handmade housewares and antiques. Two of Toronto’s iconic hotels are located in West Queen West: The Drake Hotel, and Gladstone Hotel.

West Toronto is Rich in Culture & Scenery

Parkdale is a constantly evolving, bustling enclave with a rich history of cultures, including Polish, Afro-Caribbean, Filipino, and Vietnamese. Art galleries, vintage shops, and a mix of international restaurants characterize this enclave.

Sunnyside Park, Sunnyside Beach, Lakeshore Boulevard Parklands, and Marilyn Bell Park are all located along the shore of Lake Ontario, giving West Toronto residents a picturesque landscape to enjoy the waterfront. Best experienced on foot, West Toronto is bursting with energy and brimming with things to do and see.

Real estate in West Toronto

Homes around Trinity Bellwoods are mostly 1.5 and two-storey builds from the 1900s, in bay-and-gable or Gothic Revival styles. Parkdale properties were built mostly in the late 19th and 20th centuries, featuring a mix of expansive Victorian mansions and apartment buildings. Around Roncesvalles there’s an abundance of turn-of-the-century semi-detached homes and a handful of detached properties with garages.

Condos and converted spaces make up most of the real estate in Liberty Village. Real estate in the High Park neighbourhood comprises large brick homes built between the late 1800s and early 1900s, many of which have been converted to multi-unit homes. There are also a number of low rise condos in the area.

Who Lives in West Toronto?
