Personal background
My path into real estate was sort of accidental. I worked in residential construction for several years, and had a close friend who worked for the Canada Housing & Mortgage Corporation (CHMC). On my days off, I’d often accompany my friend when he would appraise rural properties. When another friend introduced me to his uncle who owned a real estate brokerage, I was told I’d make a great agent. I didn’t jump on the chance right away, because I was planning to go to university. Eventually, I took the real estate course and instead of going to university, started working at a brokerage and never looked back.
Real estate philosophy and mission
Real estate is a demanding, but worthwhile career. I enjoy being able to share my specialized knowledge of building construction and real estate with new and experienced buyers/sellers to help them achieve their goals. Working as an agent since 1991, my family keeps asking me to retire, but I don’t feel like my job is work! The rewards are immediate, and the experience is fulfilling.
I’m a natural people-person, and my strong background in construction and extensive real estate experience mean I can give clients a well-rounded experience they won’t forget.
