About Etobicoke Real Estate

Independent shops, quaint boutiques, charming restaurants, and specialty stores are characteristic of Etobicoke. Most of the neighbourhoods in this area were designed with families in mind, so schools, grocers, bakeries, coffee shops, delis, professional offices, and other amenities are found throughout every enclave. The communities of Long Branch, New Toronto, and Mimico offer waterfront living with quick access to Toronto’s West End, and Downtown.

Does Etobicoke Have Good Parks?

Etobicoke is home to many outdoor recreational spaces and natural attractions, including:

  • Colonel Samuel Smith Park (where the Lakeshore Yacht Club is located)
  • Marie Curtis Park (where Toronto Waterfront Trail and Etobicoke Creek Trail connect)
  • Long Branch Park (where the Lakeshore Summer Concert Series takes place).

The Humber River winds throughout this neighbourhood, flanked by a number of green spaces including West Humber Parkland, Humber Sheppard Park, Humber Arboretum, and Humber Valley Golf Course. Aside from active outdoor lifestyles, residents in Etobicoke also have strong community pride, and regularly attend events like Lakeshore Community Festival, Etobicoke-Lakeshore Christmas Parade, and the Mimico Festival.

Transit riders are able to catch the Go Train, TTC buses and subways, and connect to the Mississauga transit system and reach Pearson International Airport through Islington station. Etobicoke is less than 20 minutes from the airport by car, and those in the Eatonville enclave have direct access to Highway 427.

Real estate in Etobicoke

Like the rest of Toronto, there is a great mix of properties available in Etobicoke, with a lot of homes built in the 1800s and early 1900s. Real estate close to the lake mostly consists of Tudor and Edwardian styles, and features prime waterfront properties, two-story homes, bungalows, semi-detached homes, and duplexes.

There are some new infill homes, and a handful of townhomes. Lakeshore Village is also home to an affordable housing community. Eatonville real estate includes homes built in the ‘60s and ‘70s, as well as some high rise condos and rental apartments, and townhomes.
